- Typical Airdrie jobs
What Airdrie Homeowners Use a Bin For
Many Airdrie homes are in newer communities such as Coopers Crossing, Bayside and Ravenswood. Common jobs there are finishing a basement, building a deck or fence, and landscaping a new yard. In older parts of the city it is more often a kitchen or bathroom renovation, a new roof or a garage clean-out before a move.
- Basement developments
- Kitchen and bathroom renovations
- Roofing shingles
- Decks, fences and sheds
- Yard and landscaping clean-ups
- Garage and move-out clean-outs
- Dirt, gravel and concrete in a concrete bin
- Not allowed: paint, chemicals, batteries, propane
Bin on the Street? Get a Permit First
On your own driveway, you do not need a City permit. If the bin has to go on the street, the City of Airdrie’s Streets Bylaw says you need a permit before it is placed. If your community has a homeowners’ association, check its rules too.
The permit sets where and how long the bin can stay, so call the City of Airdrie (311) before you book a street spot.
- How it works
From Booking to Pickup
Book Online
Choose your bin, pick Airdrie as the delivery area and choose a date. Use the notes box to tell us where you want the bin.
We Drop the Bin
We bring the bin up from Calgary and place it where you asked. Ask us for boards under it if you want to protect your driveway.
Fill It Level
You have up to 14 days. Keep the load level with the top of the bin. We cannot take a bin down Highway 2 with debris sticking out the top.
We Haul It Away
Call when the bin is full or the job is done. We pick it up and take care of the disposal and recycling.

- Smaller loads
Only a Few Bags? Airdrie Has Its Own Drop-Off Sites
For a small load you can haul yourself, the City of Airdrie runs two drop-off sites for residents. Check the City’s pages for current hours and fees before you go.
Airdrie Transfer Site
About 7 km west of the city on Highway 567, next to the rodeo grounds. It takes household waste, bulky items, appliances, scrap metal, yard waste, and drywall, shingles and wood from home renos. You pay by the load and unload it yourself, and it is not open to business use.
Airdrie Recycle Depot
At 21 East Lake Hill NE, for sorted recycling: cardboard, paper, plastics, glass, electronics and yard waste. It is for residents only, and vehicles with trailers unload outside the gates.
More Than a Trip or Two?
If the job would take several runs out to Highway 567, a bin is often the easier choice. You load it at home on your own time, and we take it away.
